1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

1 cup packed light brown sugar

2/3 cup smooth peanut butter

1/2 cup white sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 cup milk


Buttercream and Filling:

1 1/4 cups white sugar

5 large egg whites

Pinch fine salt

1 1/4 cups smooth peanut butter

450g butter, cut into blocks, at room temperature

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Crushed peanut brittle, for decorating
