2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon fine salt

1 cup whole milk, at room temperature

1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

3 large eggs plus 1 large egg yolk, at room temperature

1 1/2 cups sugar



1 cup sugar

2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

Pinch fine salt

6 large egg whites

450g unsalted butter, cut into 1 1/2-inch chunks, at room temperature


Filling and Decoration:

5 cups shredded coconut

Blue, orange, yellow, purple and pink food coloring

2 cups of your favourite small and soft candies (none in wrappers), such as gummies or candy-covered chocolates
